Welcome to Our Site
Hello My name is Jennifer Kehm and thank you for taking time to visit our website.
When I was 36 years old I found a lump in my breast. My gynecologist assured me it was a cyst because of my age. Thankfully, he did recommend that I pursue a mammogram just to be safe. A few weeks later to my surprise, I was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Frank Dicopoulos
Frank Dicopoulos from Guiding Light, the CBS soap opera, was in Pittsburgh this week to film an on-location video shoot interviewing 13 breast cancer survivors, talking about their journey with breast cancer.
We talked with a local doctor who is an oncologist. We also had meetings with a radiologist and technician that walked us through a mammogram from beginning to end.
The purpose of this video is to not only support the survivors but to increase awareness of the great benefits of early detection and to help relieve some of the stress that women may have about getting a mamogram or about self breast exams. These are the keys to early detection.
A portion of the video will be shown at the upcoming Breast Cancer Luncheon fashion Show on April 6th- Sunday 11:00 - 4:00 p.m.
